Transaction limits
How much one payment can be, and what changes once your account is verified.
Limits are checked when a payment request is created, and again when the buyer picks a method. A payment that is already paid is never affected. For developers, the same limits with their error codes are in Rate limit.
Limits that apply
| Minimum per payment | QRIS Rp1,000 · Virtual Account Rp10,000 |
|---|---|
| Maximum per payment | Rp10,000,000 for every method. Need a higher Virtual Account maximum? Email halo@kasera.id and Kasera can raise it for your account. |
| Amount the limits apply to | What the buyer pays. With “Receive full amount” on, that includes the fee. |
| Daily limit | None for verified accounts. No cap on the number of payment requests or the total amount per day |
| Unpaid requests | Expire after 60 minutes |
| Allowance before verification | 10 payment requests and Rp1,000,000 in total, over the life of the account |
| Test mode | Minimum and maximum apply, but the pre-verification allowance does not |
| Asking for a higher limit | Kasera can set the minimum/maximum for your account. Email halo@kasera.id. |

How limits are checked
- You create a payment request. The amount the buyer will pay is checked against the minimum and maximum of the method you picked. Your own ranges are listed per method under Settings → Payment methods.
- If the link offers several methods, only the ones whose range fits the amount are shown to the buyer. If none fits, the request is refused.
- If your business is not verified yet, the pre-verification allowance is checked too. Every request counts toward the 10, paid or not, expired or not. Only canceled ones do not. Test-mode requests never count.
- The pre-verification allowance never resets. It lifts once your business verification is approved, and from then on there is no daily limit. An expired request gives its amount back to the allowance but still uses one of the 10. A canceled one gives back both.
Messages when a limit is hit
| Where | When | Message |
|---|---|---|
| Create payment request (dashboard) | Amount below the method's minimum | Red text under the amount as you type, e.g. “Minimum amount is Rp10,000” for a Virtual Account. |
| Create payment request (dashboard) | Amount above the method's maximum | Red text under the amount: “Maximum amount is Rp10,000,000”. The fee preview stays hidden until the amount fits. |
| Create payment request (dashboard) | Pre-verification allowance used up | A red message above the form, in Indonesian, ending “selesaikan verifikasi untuk melanjutkan” (finish verification to continue). |
| Home (Beranda) | Business not approved yet | “Until this business is approved, it is limited to 10 transactions and Rp1,000,000 in total.” |
| Buyer: payment link | Amount outside one method's range | No message. That method simply does not appear, and the buyer chooses from the ones that fit. |
| Buyer: Payment page | Amount outside the limits | “Enter a valid amount to continue.” |
| Buyer: Payment page | Your pre-verification allowance used up | “Something went wrong. Try again.” |
The minimum and maximum shown are the defaults. The dashboard always shows your account's own numbers.
Common questions
What if my sale is above the maximum?
Split it into several payments (for example a deposit and a balance), or ask for a higher maximum for your account.
How do I ask for a higher limit?
Email halo@kasera.id with the method, the largest amount you expect, and why. Kasera sets the minimum and maximum per method for your account. There is no daily limit to raise. The pre-verification allowance is not raised by email, so finish verification instead.
Why doesn't my buyer see Virtual Account?
Either it is switched off under Settings → Payment methods, or the amount is outside that method's range. Check the range shown next to the method there.
Is there a limit on payments per day?
Not for verified accounts. Create as many payment requests, for as much in total, as you need. Only the per-payment minimum and maximum apply. Before verification, unpaid links do use up the 10-request allowance. Cancel the ones you no longer need.
Do payments from my Payment page count too?
Yes. Each amount a payer submits there creates one payment request under your account.
